Epilogue

(this following sequence is "drawn")

*we have zoomed-in view of the Fake Bass fortress*

*the trio of Mega Man, Proto Man and Bass, having teleported out of the underground, lands in front of the Fake Bass Fortress (at a safe distance, of course)*

*the trio has their backs turned to the player, as they look at the Fake Bass Fortress*

*Wily's saucer is seen flying out of the Fake Bass Fortress*

*the Fake Bass Fortress starts exploding, as it shakes and sinks underground*

*the Fake Bass Fortress completely sinks underground, a couple of flashes are seen, and then...*

KABOOM!

*a gigantic, green-tinted, skull-shaped mushroom cloud comes out from the underground, as both the Fake Bass Fortress and Underground Wily Castle explode massively, from their collision (the player doesn't actually get to see that, but I just wanted to point this out)*

(this following sequence is "sprited")

*as the first part of the credits starts to scroll, Mega Man, Proto Man and Bass use their jet units, to go home*

*the scenery that they pass through includes a barren valley (sorta like the one in the MM5 ending), some plains (which shows green hills in the background) and the city's bay area, before finally reaching Light's Lab, where Dr. Light, Roll and Auto are waiting for them*

(note: while the trio goes through the various scenery, the time of day goes from the mid-day (blue sky) to the late afternoon (sunset). The sequence ends right in the middle of the late afternoon)

*the trio leap off their jet units, and the screen freezes, fading to...*

*a "drawn" image of joy: Auto excitedly waves fans, Dr. Light shows a satisfied smile, Roll clasps her hands and smiles in joy, Mega Man waves to his friends, Rush sticks his tongue, Proto Man smiles and does a thumbs-up and Bass scowls, with his eyes closed, his arms crossed, his back turned to the others and has Treble at his side, looking fierce towards MM's group*

*then the RMs, their designers' names and their serial numbers are listed*

*after that, the rest of the credits are shown*

Thanks, General. :) However, I did forget to type a few minor things, as I was in a rush.

Edit: I just edited the first post, to include the script's final draft (along with a few last-minute details :wink:).

Edit #2: I added a small change to the Fake Protomen boss fight intro scene, as per Big JM's suggestion.

I'm adding the intro for the 2nd fight with Mute, as I seem to have forgotten about adding it, for some reason.

Also, after some discussion with General Guy and CadmiumRED, the approach that Mute will use is now...different. :wink:

Mute rematch intro

Spoiler: show
*after clearing Underground Wily Castle stage 4's RM rematch segment, the player character goes into a teleporter, which takes him into a room with 3 platforms floating in mid-air, and a pipe with a valve, on the right wall*

*Mute suddenly teleports in, next to the valve*

Mute: I've been playing around before, but now Balance and I will have to dispose of you. This is the time to truly show your power and fight to the fullest! Behold my trump card!

*Mute turns the valve, while Balance teleports in and lands on the right platform*

*as lava flows into the room, the player character jumps onto the left platform, while Balance rises up into the air and changes his shape, as Mute jumps onto the right platform*

*Mute leaps up and merges with Balance, turning into Super Mute*

*cue boss fight*

It's funny that you should say that, since Mute's design is very remniscent of those seen in the X series. :)

Luckily, the only places where dialogue will be seen are in the intro, the interlude, Wily's reveal, Mute's rematch intro and aftermath, and the ending. You won't see dialogue pop up every 30 seconds, rather, so no worries. :P

But hey, since things from the Classic series eventually creeped out into the X series, it all works out, I guess.

Besides, Ballade and Sunstar both got their own scenes for their last 15 seconds of glory, so this sort of thing is not unprecedented (although, in Mute's case, he's not quite dead yet).

Wily's defeat

*after the Wily Capsule 72 is destroyed, an escape pod comes out of it, which Dr. Wily uses to make a quick getaway*

*suddenly, Balance, in his Balance Javelin form, comes out of nowhere at a sharp angle, hitting the escape pod and rattling it*

*immediately afterwards, Mute jumps in and launches a charge shot at the escape pod, making it explode and eject Wily out*

*Mute and Balance, who both looked heavily damaged, land in front of the trio, facing Wily*

*Wily starts bowing*

*after the player character(s) move(s) to a predetermined place, the character(s) who was/weren't played at the time teleport(s) in*

(note #1: Bass is in front, Protoman in the middle and Mega Man at the back)

*the victory fanfare plays*

Dr. Wily: I'm so sorry! I had no other choice! I won't do it again, I promise!

Mute: *turns to Wily* No need to bother exerting yourself, doctor...I'll handle them.

*Dr. Wily stops bowing, stands up and starts to slowly back away*

*Mute turns to Bass*

Bass: Oh, come on! Why don't you just turn into scrap already!?

Mute: Come now, big brother...Why won't you rejoin Wily? Accept your destiny, to let him turn you into the strongest robot...

Bass: Forget it! *gets into his shooting stance/charges up his Bass Buster* I follow my own destiny, "brother".

(note #2: if you acquired the Charge Shot item, Bass will use a charge shot, instead of rapid-fire shots)

Mute: So be it. *charges up his Mute Buster* Either way, I'll have the pleasure of destroying you.

*Balance spits out a fireball*

*Bass shoots a few shots/charge shot at Mute, making him explode, right before jumping over his charge shot*

*while the above is happening, Protoman shoots a volley of shots/charge shot at Balance to make him explode (while Bass is still in the air, of course)*

*luckily, Protoman jumps over both Mute's charge shot and Balance's fireball (which Bass narrowly avoided)*

*Mega Man jumped over the aforementioned projectiles, as well*

*Wily immediately starts running away*

Mega Man: Look! He's getting away!

Bass: Get back here! You'll pay for making me look like a fool!

*The trio give chase to Wily, until a teleporter is seen*

*Bass stops running, to shoot a volley of shots/charge shot towards Wily*

*as Bass does this, Mega Man and Protoman stop running*

*Wily jumps into the teleporter, wiggles his eyebrows and teleports away, right before the volley of shots/charge shot reaches the teleporter and make(s) it explode*

Bass: Damn that Wily! He slipped through my fingers!

*as the Underground Wily Castle starts to rumble, rubble starts falling and Mega Man, Protoman and Bass repeatedly look left and right*

Protoman: Let's get out, now!

(note #3: depending on which character you picked (or, in 2-player mode, the one that lands the last blow on the final boss), this part will play itself out slightly differently)

If you play as Mega Man:

*Protoman and Bass teleport away, while Mega Man is still standing there*

Mega Man: *looks up* If only Wily, Bass and Mute got along like a real family...

*Mega Man looks back at the front and teleports away*

If you play as Protoman:

*Mega Man and Bass teleport away, while Protoman is still standing there*

Protoman: *looks at the distance* Mute and Bass...They would have complemented each other nicely.

*Protoman looks back at the front and teleports away*

If you play as Bass:

*Mega Man and Protoman teleport away, while Bass is still standing there*

Bass: *closes his eyes* I wish that it didn't have to be this way...Little brother...

*Bass opens his eyes and teleports away*
