Jared's Mega Man Completion Quest
« on: October 25, 2008, 10:34:31 AM »
So yeah.  As of recently I have decided that I'm going to beat every Classic-subseries Mega Man platformer there is.  Because they are awesome.

(Original post is below this line.)

I just beat Mega Man 1 for the first time ever.

This is also the first Mega Man game I have ever beaten in my life.

Woohoo!

(P.S. Yes I am aware that I still have not yet beat 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, I, II, III, IV, V, Wily Wars, MM&B, MM&B 2, Power Battles, or Power Fighters.  But I finally feel like I might actually have a fighting chance now.)

If you can beat 1, you can probably beat 9. If you can beat MM&B, you can probably beat any of them. I'm at the wily levels on 9, and I can only beat one robot master in MM&B.

you forgot X I,  X II, X III, X IV, X V, XVI, and XVII
The X games don't use roman numerals, and if he's doing the non-classic Megaman series as well he'd have to go through Zero 1-4, ZX (and sequels, idk), and Legends 1 & 2, and possibly others that don't spring to mind right now. There's too many.

Only doing classic-series canonical platformers (so no GG or PC games).

Also, I just beat 2 and 3!  Woooooooo!

The best part about Mega Man 4 isn't beating it, it's showing everyone online that I did.

(Except I can't show you because I didn't take a picture.  But I did just beat it!)

megaman 4 was the absolute worst. 5 following in terms of horrible but playable and doesnt insult your intelligence.

though 6 is great.

oh god, the sound of the enemies's lifebars filling sill haunts me.
Megaman 4 is still a great game though, mainly due to some of the new robot masters and their abilities.
Toadman's, pharaohman's,diveman's and ringman's weapons were all great. but yea, besides the aforementioned...it was lame in comparison with 1,2 and 3...why did they have to screw up the rush jet so badly....

Well, 5 is done too.  Now I'm working on 6.  Which is really fun.

I recommend using the Power Suit adapter and fist-fighting the robot masters in the rematch part.  Fun stuff.

You're beating the Japanese and English versions? Humorous.

edit: oh wait, you mean Rockman World. Yeah, those are 2, 3, 4, 5 too

Yeah, most people refer to the GB games by Roman numerals.

Also, on that note, I just finished II.

I think I'm going to change the name of this topic now.  Also 6 is done, and Power Battles 1-2 is done.

What a coincidence! I JUST NOW (e.g. Just got off the PS1 and logged on here.) beat MegaMan X5... Which I also think is the best one on the X series.

Also, Wily is too damn hard on MegaMan 9.
