3 things you like from your home state or other...
« on: October 03, 2008, 03:41:20 PM »
What inspired me to start this topic is the Do you have an accent topic.  Reason  is, we come from different parts of America and the world, so I thought it would be interesting to find out three things you like that comes from your home state or country.
For example, I'm from Wisconsin.  I like brats, cheese and the Packers/Brewers.  I did the slash because I do like both.  This is also a way for me to get to know everyone here a little better, and for you guys to get to know me, The Brown-Capped Map Man, a little better. Hope to get to know you guys a little better.

1: Mexican food. I guess that we have a lot of this in Texas.
2: Dallas Cowboys. The football team is one of those you love them or hate them kind of thing. Honestly, I don't care much for football.
3: I'm not sure what to put here... Probably the size of this state. We have a lot of variety in Texas (I don't really know much, I haven't been really too far south).

I've been in Texas. I have relatives there, down around San Antonio.  San Antonio is a pretty cool town. I've seen the Alamo and the other 4 old Spanish missions in the area.  My dad's parents are buried in Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio.  The driving isn't exactly fun, but there is some cool stuff by you.  It's especially cool around Christmastime at the Riverwalk.

Ok, since you are on the dislike topic
1. Drivers from Texas, who think that they're in a NASCAR race.
2. Bicyclists from Texas, who think that they're in a Tour De France.
3. The Cubs.
4. The Bears when they win.
5. The Packers when they lose to the Bears.
6. I don't know what else to put here.
I almost forgot that.  And yes, All of these occur in Wisconsin.
