[World] Challenge World
« on: July 24, 2008, 09:22:10 AM »
MOST LIKELY NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BETA 2

Note: You might need to have stillstand death or w/e it's called switched ON for this, due to one part where you can get stuck at if you're unlucky.

I'm proud to present you, in a seperate thread, my first world, for 1.8 Beta. It might not work in others if they fixed some of the platform glitches, so keep that in mind.
The special part about this world, however, is the fact that it's a one player world. And it's hard.
It's 8 maps long, and in each map the goal is to grab the coin.
Prepare for quite a bit of frustration, the betatesters I asked to try it out (Jester Frog and Link901) were quite battered judging by the PMs, so take it easy!

But hey, after all it's just grabbing a coin. It can't be that hard, right?

As a note for people who don't read readmes: Play as the Red Team

Download from chirno.dorino.net
Download from smwffh.supersanctuary.net
Download from smwstuff

Thanks to Jester Frog and Link901 for betatesting, and whoever else might have played my maps previously, etc.

Enjoy.

Wow, this is one evil world you have there, and I've only seen two levels! That's an awesome idea you had with the one player only thing.

Oh, trust me JM.  I tested it for him, and these levels are pure hate...
I only managed to beat one of the eight.
I'm gonna be a wuss and blame the fact that I'm terrible playing games with a keyboard and that it was 4 in the morning.
Aside from the sheer difficulty, I recommend trying this world, if only to experience the stuff you have to do to beat it.

I honestly had no clue it would be this tough when I tested it... I'm only at level 3 right now, but I will conquer this world eventually... and the game too.

One player levels ...... That's a great idea. :)  I may have make a few of those when my time frees up a bit.
I\'m desperately seeking "any key" to continue...
Most people prefer elevators. However, after having nine cups of coffee, the stairs were looking pretty good.

Looks sadistic but awesome at the same time.

There needs to be more one player worlds.

I'm downloading it.

Also the name of this world reminds me of that one particular super mario world romhack called Kaizo Mario or something like that.

Oh my god.. I can't believe it... I actually did it..
I beat all eight levels...  I didn't think I could do it...
[spoilers:1mps1cei][/spoilers:1mps1cei]

I beat your Challenge World, Tanuki...
I'd given up, but then I came back and set my foot down.
It started with finally beating Akuma, after which I said to myself "I'm actually over half-way done with this... I might just be able to beat this!"  I fought my way through Flush, quickly finished Hageo, took a while and beat Kokoko, then finally struggled till I conquered [spoilers:1mps1cei]Pain Map Tribute[/spoilers:1mps1cei]!  It was tough, but I finally finished it!
