Y'know what would be really cool?

Having the whole "classic" Mega Man series of platformers (1-8, I-V, Wily Wars, and MM&B) tied together into one game with cohesive plot, an updated physics engine, revamped levels, a redone item and shop system, and the ability to unlock boss characters for use in a comprehensive versus mode.

They should do that with the metal gears.
I'd love to play as The Pai-TOMMY GUN!

That sounds like fun. Of course, Flashman would win every time.

Quick, someone find a MegaMan X level/character editor.
Edit the game to be like the MegaMan games.
?????
Profit!

Just an idea, not the full effect of what Jared said, but close. :V

I have the urge to share my idea of a Mega Man fighting game featuring specific characters from every single Mega Man series, but I'll just leave it be, as it may never happen.

Megaman Power Fighters/Power Battle is pretty close, it's a Megaman bossrush game that even has two player modo.
Also in that one Marvel Vs Capcom game I believe there was a Megaman, though I'm not quite sure.

But yeah how much more recycled crap can you guys handle?
Personally I'd rather see something 2d that's new compared to sequel sequel sequel.

On another note, I'd love to see a horizontal Rockman shmup with abusive bonehard bullet hell and an interesting weapon system, all in 8-bit graphics.

Yes, the reason why he would be good for a Smash game.

Roll's in it too!

Steal my idea, sure. As long as you can program. Because I sure can't...

Yeah, I know about Power Battle and Power Fighters. I've played them on Mega Man Anniversary Collection. I was got pretty hooked on Power Fighters. And yeah, Mega Man and Roll were in Marvel vs. Capcom. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 had Tron Bonne from Mega Man Legends.
