ARTS BOARD RULES
« on: December 07, 2007, 09:33:08 PM »
Please abide by these guidelines, in order to keep everyone's art browsing sane and peaceful.

  • Please keep requests to a minimum - We are mainly talking about "draw me please" topics. "I'll draw you" type topics are fine.
  • If someone is taking requests, abide by their rules - Don't troll someone just because you don't meet their requirements, or they have closed requests for whatever reason.
  • When someone makes a topic featuring multiple people, don't whine if you are not included - this is annoying to both the artist and many members. If your character is not there, do not beg for a spot.
  • Do not hotlink to DeviantArt accounts, or similar art galleries - This action will usually get the artist's gallery deleted, and his/ her account suspended. Kindly use [url] tags instead of [img] tags if it is to someone's gallery, unless the person has allowed it. Certain sites, like DeviantArt do not allow [img] tag hotlinking, so don't do it.
  • Please don't berate someone because of their reference character - It gets annoying everytime someone bugs someone else for having a recolor/ edit for a character.

Ok, seeing what's going on, I have to say one thing.

If there's something about the art that you don't like because of a certain something (Furries for example) DON'T TROLL THE TOPIC

Times today are just as bad what with the video game market being made up of 80% first person shooters that are 80% brown and 20% black and 100% bloom.

This rule has always been there, just not written down because we thought you'd know what quality control is, but apparently some of you don't.

Topics containing "art" of extremely poor quality can be locked/disposal'd and under some circumstances be counted as spam, which is a warnable offense.

You should know what is and isn't acceptable here through common sense alone. But if for some reason you don't, having your topic locked should be enough to show you that your art is not acceptable. Afterward you will be held responsible for your actions here.
