A distributed denial of service attack (DDoS) occurs when multiple compromised systems flood the bandwidth or resources of a targeted system, usually one or more web servers.

So, it's as if a ton of people tried to download one file at a time? So what exactly HAPPENS to the server? It seems like it would just crash; meaning you could boot it up again and everything would be fine? Well, obviously not, or you would just do that.

Who would want to crash our server anyway? Who would even know of it outside of this forum? What if one of the members here did it? What if...
It was Jarviar?
[/conspiracytheory]

Cut it out with the Jarviar stuff. Nova is back and we don't want him leaving again.

Times today are just as bad what with the video game market being made up of 80% first person shooters that are 80% brown and 20% black and 100% bloom.

The person who did this is not a member of the forum.
The IP of the offender does not match with those of any member.

They said they'll start reactivating the account tomorrow. If it's not up by this time tomorrow (In others words in less then twenty four hours) then I'll let you guys know what's going on.

The FFH is back up. You might need to F5 the account suspended page to get it to work.

If you still see the account suspended page, press the refresh button. F5 is the keyboard shortcut.

FFH is back up for uploading.

I'm still working on it though so expect a few missing pieces.

...and lots and lots of filesize errors if you decide to browse the filelist.
