1.8 Pre-Poll Poll
« on: November 18, 2007, 08:39:10 PM »
This is just a simple poll to see what kind of focus I ought to be putting on the feature polls for 1.8.  In other words, this poll tells me how to put together the real polls, when I eventually do.  (So this isn't the only poll I'll be doing before 1.8 is released.  The real polls will have lots more options to choose from.)

IF YOUR FIRST CHOICE IS NETPLAY THEN PLEASE VOTE FOR YOUR SECOND CHOICE.  DO NOT VOTE "OTHER" SIMPLY FOR NETPLAY.  Netplay will not be on any of the polls because if it was, then nobody would pick anything else.  ;)

If you do vote "other", please post a reply and tell me what you are specifically voting for.

Oh, and one more thing: the polls this time around will not be focused on huge and awesome things (some of you already know a little about what I am specifically referring to), but more on the comparatively smaller things like new modes, items, blocks, etc.  So don't say "other" and post "I want a story mode" or "You guys need to improve the A.I." because that won't be on the polls anyway.

Modes, I guess.  If the items are designed for the mode then it's a mode-related want.

I accidentally voted for new items. >_<
But it's either that or more bosses.

Times today are just as bad what with the video game market being made up of 80% first person shooters that are 80% brown and 20% black and 100% bloom.

Would you say that the throwable things you pull out of the grounds in SMB2 are more of a veggy item...or a fruity item?

There should be an "All of the above" option.

But then I'd have to revote.

Other.
I was thinking... Isn't it annoying, when you're designing a level, and you want to test it out real quick? So then you have to save your level, close the leveleditor, open SMWar, wait for it to load, choose characters, blah blah blah. It takes a long time! So what if, in the leveleditor, you just press a key, and you get to play your level! Just like that. It would read your options.bin and use those options; with classic mode. It would be great! Press a key... test your level! No hassle! (Now I'm starting to sound like a commercial! :P )
Wouldn't that be a great feature, though? Press a key and play your level?

Level focus. I'd like to see some swimmable/low gravity tiles.
