That grey color, it's white when you're invincible after respawn.

The small tileset isn't used in SMW.

Wrong. The small tileset is used for the filter selection and preview stuff.-

I know this is a bit late but..

How to Put In Custom Music

First go to C:Documents and Settings(Computer's Account)(Place)smwmusic

And then go to the txt file and open it.

Then download your music or open your desired music.

You should get a MP3-->OGG file converter.

Once you convert it then put it into your music folder or a custom music folder.

Then copy your music's name for example
Quote from: "Example"
M3_Boss.ogg
and put it into the desired spaces like this
Quote from: "Example"
[Land]
Example.ogg  <--(this was changed.)
M2_Level1.ogg

and then change it and have fun!
Quote from: "Note"
If you put it in a different folder, then go to options and then sounds and change the music pack to your pack name.

Hi-Res to Lo-Res?
Wait, HOW THE HELL?
Yes, I know how to do it.
All you need is:
Sgraff's Lo-Res template
A Hi-Res skin (It would be better if the head reaches or almost reaches the top)
I'll be using JJames's Remilia skin for this.

1. Open up the Lo-Res template and the skin you want to turn into Lo-Res
2. Grab the standing sprite in the skin, copy, and paste it onto the lo-res template
3. Make a copy and resize it to 50%, put it on the 1st green frame of the template all the way to the left.
4. Seperate parts of the sprite by one pixel horizontally until they ALMOST touch the right. (If you need to, move the sprite over 1 pixel horizontally to the right but don't touch the right edge.
5.
Here comes the somewhat tricky part, fill in the empty spaces. If you need to, look back at the original hi-res sprite just in case you don't screw up
6. Now, continue what you want. You can repeat 1-5 with the other sprites or just edit the standing sprite. In other words... go nuts with number 6.
(Credit goes to... wait, I just said it in the post but I'll say it again, credit goes to JJames for the original skin)

Times today are just as bad what with the video game market being made up of 80% first person shooters that are 80% brown and 20% black and 100% bloom.

Q: My tiles won't show in the menus? asdfdfds

Well, the large tileset is used in-game.

The small tileset is used for thumbnails.

The medium tileset is in level select.

When creating low-res tilesets use the medium sized tileset, then shrink it or enlarge it for the other too.

The medium uses normal 1-pixel-per-dot set-up, and is perfect for low-res editing.

Just a hint

Save it as a .bmp in the gfxskins folder. The dimensions must be 192 by 32.

Thanks, I can maake skins now. But I have 2 more questions:

1) How do I make it so when I post a skin it can been seen in the card thing like maps?

and

2) How do I make it so when I first respawn, or come out of a warp, or get Star Man (Invincable star thingy) you can see the sheild? Because with all my skins *cough*3 of them*cough* when the sheild comes up I don't see it.

1) sign up for SMW Stuff.
2) Go to gfx/packs/classic and open palette.bmp. That first row is the colors you use.
