I'm also surprised that this thread is dying out already, so here's an unorthodox bump for good measure and a worthy contribution.

Warning Forever

It's pretty much a "boss rush" styled shoot-em-up, but with a twist.  You start off fighting a small craft known as the "Pure Heart," and, based on how you defeat it, the next boss will have an adaptation in an effort to counter the player's previous attack strategy.  This pattern continues until either the player dies enough times or time runs out.  This can lead to some dramatically impressive bosses and attacks.  You can also set your own favorite ogg or wav as a BGM.

This game was already posted here, but here's a little more description on it.
Battleships Forever

This game, on the other hand, is a real-time strategy game using the Warning Forever graphics style and parts mechanic.  It makes use of a very wide array of weaponry and unique defense mechanisms to force opponents to alter their strategies of attack.  Individual ship parts and weapons can be specifically targeted, as well.  It also comes complete with a ship maker so you can custom design your own battleships and deploy them against the opposition.

And a proper full-size image

Oh man, I love you. I remember playing this for a couple minutes at this video game exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. I think it was called Game On or something.  It had a little joystick set up and everything. My brothers had to force me to stop playing it after awhile. Thank you so much for providing a download. I almost forgot about this game. Also, Battleships Forever looks interesting.

x.x gameroom

x.x has made several indie games, almost all of which resemble Cave's Mushihimesama titles.  All of them are freeware, and I personally recommend Eden's Edge, Blue Wish Resurrection PLUS, and Eden's Aegis(even though it's currently in demo form).

Yea, took me a while to discover it too, even though it was released in 2004. I beat it last November.

Greatest free game ever. :)

Hey guys.

I'm looking for a realtime voice changer, but I'm not having much lucky. I'm not talking stupid crap either like changing the pitch. I'm talking the epic adding layers to your voice stuff.
