I guess it's been said but you all keep ignoring...

DO NOT UPLOAD YOUR SKINS AS BMP FILES.
THE IMAGE HOSTING SITE CONVERTS BMP IMAGES TO JPEG AND HENCE, GIVES THEM UNNECESSARY BLUR.

To upload your skin correctly, convert it to .png and save it to another folder than smw/gfx/skins, and upload that PNG file. PNG files are not given blur when uploaded, therefore, they can be saved directly from the forum to your skins folder and show correctly in-game.

Example of a badly-uploaded skin:

Now let's zoom in...

See the blur?

And if I try to use that skin in-game...
It shows like this:

P.S.: None of above images were edited.
Skin belongs to Lurchi (General_Guy)

Oh, and I ask a sticky for this.

I had recent problems with .png, however. I use a .png link to the .bmp download on the ffh. SMWstuff will fix this problem though.

It's being worked on, but progress seen by me is stagnant. I'm guessing Tiptup hasn't updated it yet.

i thought you had to do that because right clicking on a png and saving it as a bmp messes it up anyway. i thought you had to go to smwffh, get the url, go to tinypic, get the pic, then put in
Code: [Select]

where URL is the download link and PIC is the url of the pic

that way people can left-click on your stuff to go to a page where they can download your stuff
