You should have replacement backgrounds of solid colors.  XD

Not all Mario games have like that. *looks at Super Mario World on the NES*

Times today are just as bad what with the video game market being made up of 80% first person shooters that are 80% brown and 20% black and 100% bloom.

I was goin' too, but it would've looked pretty crappy.  I'll probably go in and do that, and possibly some of the "backgrounds" from SMB3 and the SMW hack.

Hahaha, awesome².

You know what? You should just edit the palette file so that normal skins appear 8-bit. Just make all three shades the same color, and shazam.

EDIT: I would like to say that this goes WAY TOO PERFECTLY with SleepyP's SMB3 music pack.

I don't have his SMB3 pack anymore.  I can't figure out where I put it. <_<
Also, I'd edit the palette, but yeah... I'd screw it up so bad that it's ridiculous.

You want? I'll send it to you if you want.

I could do the palette too.

Yes, could you please send it?? The palette change isn't really necessary, but if you want to do it, go right ahead.

Ok, update!
I changed up all the backgrounds, so the backgrounds folder is back in the pack! Also, I added the palette fix-up you posted, YM. I had to add 4 rows to it though, for the Clock Frozen palette.  Thanks again for the help with that!

It's the hidden feature in the stopwatch in the April Fool's Edition.
When the players it's used on are frozen in place, they change to a bluish color.

Oh. Well, I don't play the AF edition.

I take it this is also the reason my throw blocks appear two blocks tall?

That's exactly why, YM. There's a red throwblock added to the mix in the AFE, which resulted in doubling the height of the original throwblock graphic.  There are a few other changes in graphics that may effect your gameplay as well, but I'm not sure.
