What he's asking I think is if the main page would be a portal for the site and forums, containing news, recent forum posts, rules for the forums, polls, such like that.

i won#t build it into a full fledged cms, just forums.

currently the front page just listens new posts. just what i want in a forum. :)

THANK-YOU!!! Whenever i go to forums with i a portal i hate it... ITS A FORUM!!! NOT A NEWS PAGE!!! I think that if you want a portal just make an actual website for whatever your forums about!!!
