Okay. I just have to post this now. I've been wanting to tell 72dpi about it since forever.
Assault Cube
Awesome open source FPS with easy map editing, ease of play and minimal system requirements. You can literally play the game online with dial-up. This is also IMHO the funniest FPS I have played, solely from the online gamer antics. I am notorious as a big-time teabagger if you know what that is. I have many many maps and am proud of them. There is a co-op edit mode for editing maps with your [s:1m4j9yv1]friends[/s:1m4j9yv1] other people you meet on the internet.

We play it like everyday at school. My friend that joined recently-ish ([s:1m4j9yv1]Honestly I forgot his username here[/s:1m4j9yv1] Killcrony) can tell you too.

My gamertag is 'Swiper-The-Fox' : My friend is 'Kc_Spot,' probably with the 'zpc|' clan tag.
ZPC = Zombie Pirate Crew
Our class started the ZpC clan and I am its co-founder. I actually do not wear clan-tags though and only admit to affiliation with the Zpc clan now.

I encourage each and every one of you to play this. To search for players you know, press F3 in the server list and it will bring up a search. If you search for me give me a shout out. This is a good way for poor people to play online with other 72dpi members or otherwise. Maybe we can even have a 72| clan or something.

And I'm not posting anything into those 'compilation' threads, they deprived the forum its needed diverse activity with lack of other discussion.

This game is still amazing. I'll probably play it less now though since school is coming to an end and internet at my house is iffy. Someone please move this to General Discussion. You guys need to play this and/or make maps in it. I mapped out a wing in my school and we shot it up.

Everyone assumes I haven't played the newer shooters.
I just like Assault Cube for its simplicity, its open source and easily customizable, map editor, and online interactions.
And, today I should be on more as its the last day of school.
