Buying a new processor...
« on: February 17, 2010, 04:53:09 PM »
Hey guys, me again.
I was planning on upgrading my current processor (AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.33ghz Dual Core) to an AMD Phenom X4 9550 2.6ghz Quad Core. My only question is, will my motherboard support it? I have an ASUS M2N-E SLI motherboard. Thanks if any of you techies know the answer.

why do you want to buy it in the first place, it's not much better than what you have now

I plan on doing hardcore gaming, editing, and eventually running dual moniters. I'm also upgrading from one GB of RAM to 4GB.

Still, not worth it. Use your old one. Don't waste money. If you want to waste money, send some to me.

According to a certain PC magazine it's worth it. It's only 100$ after all.
