I think this would look cooler if you made the graphics match Mario War a bit more.

Looks good. I dunno if it's either just on my computer or in Vista, but I had to download "zlib1.dll".
Also, it tells me that "gfx/packs/Classic/pallete.bmp is missing or corrupt". It's weird.

Did you put in in the same directory as the game?
If you want to change where it loads the palette from, you can edit the options.cfg...
Someone will have to post it though for you. Or I might in a little bit.
[s:21j03lfp]zlib is probably for the .gif support I'm working on--for exportation of animations.[/s:21j03lfp]
I believe zlib is also for png...maybe there is something for gif...maybe not?
When I'm sure on the dependencies I'll be sure to include it all next time.
[s:21j03lfp]I'll have to upload that dll later.[/s:21j03lfp]
Uploading...

Sounds good, but I'd obviously rather focus on the technical side of it as the developer. The graphics are open so users can mod if they want.

Also is there a way so the program doesn't change my aero theme into vista basic when I run it?

...I'm not sure why it'd do that.
I don't think incorrect dlls would do that,
and none of the code intentionally does so.
Code was compiled in WinXp...I don't know.
If you can get some more details maybe I can ask my tech friends.

its cool, but there should be a tool to replace some tiles of skins, like when you missed the skin for one pixel...

oh, and I needed to download two dlls.

What .dll are you missing?
And what do you mean by the first part?
I do have more tools/actions planned, but I'm not sure what you mean.
He means if you misplaced something, you should be able to highlight it and place it somewhere else, just like the box select tool in Paint.
Oh, I also ahve the same affect as MC when running it, it's weird.

Edit: Also, there should be an option to see where the capes/wings/tails line up.

Zadrave is absolutely right. such a tool should be integrated. also when making the test area you should put boxes with these items in it. this is getting cooler and cooler...

Actually Felix was going to put that in but it seems he didn't have enough time to do it.

...there is no password unless you mean the security code. And if you can't see that, there's something wrong with you.

*Holy light shines onto topic*
It actually exists now. User Interface could be better looking and its layout could use some fixes, but overall it looks good. Wonder if it will fix a skin that isn't working for me (proper file/area size and file type, just won't show up in game).

EDIT: Bug, in paint brush mode, mouse disappears even when out of the canvas. I couldn't see where I was pointing at. I shall edit this post for more bugs as I find them.

Yeah it's actually just horrible design on the brush tool.
If you read the docs, it tells you to hold [ctrl] to show the mouse, and push [shift] to change the target canvas.

Also hatin' on my UI.

I need some to take screenshots of the game unless someone knows/cares to find out the local coordinates for those things. Also in Test mode I planned on activating power-ups with number keys [1-9].

Also dang, 65 downloads. Guess some people had the dlls already.
I wonder if this could eventually be on 'WeDiggSuperMarioWar'

If you guys have any more relevant information, I can take the Vista theme glitch to my coding friends.

hope this helps:
Cape: Tail: Wings:

problem is that cape and tail are larger then the skin's image plus they have more animations than the skin. by the way raccoon tail uses high res to fit onto skin. it's pixels do not corellate with those of the skin.

Which images if any are on top of the skin and which are beneath the skin?
Not sure how to implement it in, but I can do small tests just to see. I planned on having the whole cape/tail there, but clipping seems better (to me)

the pics i made from cape tail and wings are already adjusted to the skin form.  they are put under the skins
-> i am just working on a remake of the fox skin, using 0smw as template to get best performance ingame, so i put the test skin over the cape to see where the cape will be-> this would then be clipping method

i think that clipping is fine enough for the static skin. one only has to find the raw place for the skin, the fine distinctions can then be made in motion while seeing how the skins animations interact with the items. and the testarea will do great for that purpose.
