My old suggestion
« on: January 22, 2010, 12:01:01 PM »
Well, I have a suggestion for next Beta of Super Mario War, but it seems like nobody cared my suggestion, so I have to make this topic about my suggestion.

I just want to see players sinking to quicksand or other fluids, like poisonous swamp, because it will make game look better.

I created example how player sinks:

1. If player steps on quicksand or poisonous swamp, player starts to sink.

2. When player's body is halfly visible, it should display "death" animation.

3. When player is totally sinked below of the surface, bubbles, or dust in quicksand comes to the surface, and about 2-5 seconds, player will be death.

So, any deal to integrate this on next release of Super Mario War?

One problem, some death animations would look weird when it comes to that (ex: robot master skins I made). In my opinion, the state should stay the same.

Times today are just as bad what with the video game market being made up of 80% first person shooters that are 80% brown and 20% black and 100% bloom.

Fix'd
Agreed with above. Some death animations wouldn't look good. Rarely do you see an unfitting jump animation.
Just one thing I wish to say about this: water tiles first`.
