Scribblenauts
« on: October 08, 2009, 10:20:39 AM »
Got it one day before the offical release in Europe B)

In this game you write something and it appears. Sounds crappy, you think? Well, check this.

I went to Action Level 1-3 "Hey, could I teleport to the goal?" I summoned a teleporter and rode it. Suddenly I appear in a  building. And what to you see there? A RALLY CAR. I'm drivin' over some people, teleport me in my new car back and drive it in the water, thus making me able to go to the other side underwater without any air thingies.

Let me repeat that.
I F***ING DROVE A CAR I TELEPORTED INTO THE LEVEL IN THE WATER

gfhghfgfhghf

Or - get a kitty from the house. Set house on fire, House disappears, kitty falls.

Discuss the game, your tactics and maybe even share your levels (didn't try that yet, so I don't know how it works).

I heard the controls were terrible and it loses appeal after you've screwed around with it for a little while.

A lot of the graphics are low-quality-ish and reused multiple times.  After all, look at some of the objects up close.  The Nuke could probably be created in Microsoft Paint by your very own self, even!  Just look at it.

Graphics are horrible for the game. They should have had a different style. Also I heard a lot of the objects glitch in the game because of the controls.

Been playing it for a while now. I give it 9/10.

As a concept and showcase, this is a great game! As a game... meh it's still pretty good.

fun for 11 minutes, amirite?

But yeah, a game based on the internet memes ONLY is kinda lame.

It's not only memes >_>" there are also other objects. Just search on YouTube...

IMO the fun comes from all the possibilities. Although you can just use the normal way, there are other ways which are fun to find.

What.

The graphics look good to me. Look kinda like the style graphics M3 and others used to make with the low-saturated pixel-art. Haven't actually played it because I don't own a DS, but definitely looks like a game to try.

Echo what are you talking about
Do you mean Garry's mod is based on meme's? Never actually heard of it. Scribblenauts is a commercial game though, not based on only memes.

Its a good game. The puzzles are great, and the style is fun. The fact that you can do almost ANYTHING to solve a puzzle is amazing.

I had to reach a star by going off a ramp. Guess what I did instead?

Attach a jetback to a horse and fly to the star.
Fist with a ring on it.

excuse me sir, but are you implying garry's mod is not a commercial game
i am sure you are doing this, and also implying it is only based upon memes
i would post an image to summarize my feelings towards this, but i would be banned.
