Well, this should make my life a whole heckuva lot easier now that all the new features have been made.

Hey Two52, maybe you could tell florian to change the main site to have the newest beta of mario war up since it's still at 1.7AFE.

I've been trying to get someone to do that for ages. At this point we may as well pull the plug on the main site because it's only been touched like once since Flo [s:2y5eq32r]left[/s:2y5eq32r] focused his efforts elsewhere.

I'm having troubles with bookmarking the SVN in Versions, it won't accept it, it just comes up with an error saying "Server does not support retrieving information about the repository root" I've never gotten this error before and I don't know what to do.
I own:
iBook G4 CPU 1.3GHz RAM 1.5GB HDD 80GB OS Macintosh 10.4.11
PSP Slim CFW 5.50GEN-D3 IRShell 5.0
iPhone 3G jailbroke 3.1.2

Now while I have no clue what you're attempting to do (bookmarking in versions? wat), that error is what you typically get by merely clicking the link, iirc. If you're using, say, TortoiseSVN, you have to do a checkout in explorer instead. Does that help in any way or am i just restating something you're already aware of and you actually have a different problem?

I have that problem, too in Firefox. It automatically opens th SVN file.

Haven't tried this yet, but I suggest copying the URL of the SVN, then downloading the SVN file from a download accelerator.

You know, if you honestly don't have any clue at all about a particular subject you're better off not posting about it.

Versions is kinda like TortoiseSVN for Mac, Bookmarking is just having the SVN client save the SVN source, kinda like a bookmark in a web browser. Thanks for your help, I'm still messing with it.

Well, I guess moving this into another thread, perhaps? We're messing this whole thread up.

Sorry but I solved it and due to some PSP homebrewes saying I didn't have the knowledge to port this to PSP, instead I'll be porting it to the iPhone/itouch. I'll show them I can do it and they won't be able to use my work (as
in the porting). I won't start porting until it's out of beta.

On Topic: I love this game, it's the best freeware game out there and I play it on
my mac all the time. Great work guys/girls/its!!

I have ArchLinux as well, Ubuntu is for people that are new to Linux

On Topic: If you compile SMW for the Mac, use the 10.5 SDK and it doesn't seem to crash nearly as often.

@TechXero: I have Arch too, and I love it.

@Snowyfox: You should be able to run it on ubuntu by compiling the svn source.
If you don't already have subversion (svn) installed, open a terminal window and get it with:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install subversion
Change directory to where you want the source downloaded, then get it with:
Code: [Select]
svn co svn://svn.72dpiarmy.com/smw
change directory into the folder (should be called smw) and configure, make, and make install:
Code: [Select]
./configure
make
sudo make install
then you can just run super mario war with the command
Code: [Select]
smw

Sorry i'm offtopic...
