Super Mario War / [1.8b2 Mac port] 'Music & Sound' option greyed out in options menu on new mac
« Last post by StardustAlpha0214 on September 08, 2018, 11:55:45 AM »Sound works on the old mac laptop I have, but the game lags. On my new computer, the game runs smooth as butter, but with no sound.
I would provide a screenshot, but I have no clue how to upload one, and whenever I screenshot SMW, it doesn't show the contents of the window in the screenshot.
I've tried redownloading a few times, which did not help. Still no sound.
Anyone have a solution?
Also, I can't actually start the game by double-clicking it. I have to right click it and go Show Package Contents, then Contents > MacOS and then double click on the executable there. When I do this on the old mac laptop, I still have sound. On my computer, I get no sound.

Parsec is game-streaming software that allows you to play local-multiplayer games online, and it works amazingly well! Here's some info on how to get started: https://youtu.be/6VBJf0C_JjE?t=54s
I've been running game nights every weekend for my own similar fan-game, here's some basically lag-free online gameplay: https://youtu.be/E6YYLSxbGyI (the host has no lag, joining players may have lag depending on their download speed and distance from the host...you'll want at least 10 download speed probably)
If you want to play Super Mario War or Super Clash Bros or any other local multiplayer games online, you can join the Super Clash Bros Discord server or the Parsec Discord server to find players. Soon though Parsec will release their new Party Finder feature out of beta, which lets you host parties for others to find right inside Parsec, that way you don't have to arrange matches on Discord.
