It's kind of like a forum that uses a color that's the exact same as a font color. Most use black, so you can hide spoilers and stuff with black text and you'd have to hilight it before you can view it.

(Hint hint, make a Black BG skin thingy)

I think Jared is talking about a tag that makes text not viewable until you highlight it. I found an example at MFGG.
Code: [Select]
http://mfgg.taloncrossing.com/index.php?showtopic=147553
Copy/ paste it into the search bar.

Not quite - although that does work - but what I meant was, when text is in a spoiler box, you have to click on the box to make it visible.  And then if you want you could also stick another one inside it to have "nested spoilers".

You mean, something like this,

Code: [Select]
<spoiler>PUT SECRETS HERE</spolier>
which would expand to something like this?

Code: [Select]
<div style="border:1px solid #000">
  <span style="visibility:hidden" onclick="this.visibility=visible">
    PUT SECRETS HERE
  </span>
</div>

Because that is a cool idea.

No, like [spoil]dont look[/spoi] and as the msg you would see a box that said "view spoilers" , and once you click it the text would be seen.

So, is this what you were thinking about, Jared? (http://http://beta.zetaboards.com/Big_JM_test_board/topic/18406/)

Something like that.  Although I was thinking it'd be nice to have to double-click.

I think i know what your talking about... Ive seen it before but I cant find it...

Are you thinking about a box like the one in mfgg however if you double click on it, instead of text being visible the box expands revealing text....

Thats it right? (and the double click is included  :wink: )

Ive seen this before but I cant exactly remember where.... I was looking for walkthroughs for Hapman 3 (great game btw) long time ago and I came across this website that included that... ill try 2 find it...

Code: [Select]
<div class="spoiler">
  <input type="button" class="button" onClick="this.nextSibling.nextSibling.style.display='block';this.parentNode.removeChild(this);" value="Show spoiler">
  <span class="content" style="display:none">hey</span>
</div>

Code of what I think hes talking about.

It doesn't matter how it gets implemented so long as it keeps spoilers hidden and not easily accidentally revealable.  ;)

Click-to-show lite (http://http://yoshilore.yoshicurio.com/index.php?showtopic=3696&view=findpost&p=102094), probably best for a minimalist forum like blahblah.

From what I can see, blahblah isn't trying to be minimal, just very simple and intuitive.  (also attractive!)
